The Holy Cow

1500mm x 2200mm x 12mm brushed aluminium

Finalist – Swell Sculpture Festival 2019

The Holy Cow is a life-size metal sculpture highlighting the environmental expense of livestock proliferation. Livestock farming has long been associated with the harmony of a life on the land and a wholesome diet. Its true consequence, however, has been the degradation of our land and water. Deforestation, decreased biodiversity, loss of native species, and destruction of our coral reefs from agricultural runoff threaten our very existence. The Holy Cow invites us to see through the façade and educate ourselves on better ways to live a sustainable life.
